Grief and despair in the Petro-Nixon family in Brooklyn, New York.

Their 16 year old daughter Chanel went missing on the 18th of June 2008 and they didn’t hear of her of her for a few days; the police came, four days later, to let them know the body of their daughter had been found, abandoned in a trash bag.

It seemed imposible; the girl had left home in broad daylight and she only had to walk a few minutes through a very crowded Brooklyn area up to the restaurant where she was to meet her friends.

She disappeared somewhere along the way and found dead four days later. The coroner’s office has said the girl had been strangled, but not sexually abused and she had been kept hostage for about 3 days before being killed.

The police suspect that whoever kidnapped her must have been someone she knew because nobody has witnessed any attack or assault in the area that day.

They also suspect a certain Draymond Coleman, accused of murdering another young girl living in the area.

The girl’s parents have offered a reward of 34,000 dollars for whoever provides relevant information that would lead to the arrest of their daughter’s killer.

Anne Pressly

Anne Pressly, the 26 year old newsreader who was attacked in her house last Monday, had passed away this weekend.

Last Monday she was found by her mother in her house, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The woman usually woke her daughter up by calling her every morning, so when Anne didn’t answer she got worried and decided to go to her house.

She then saw she had all the reasons to be worried. Apparently Anne had been the victim of a burglary; she had been cruelly beaten, and all the head and face injuries lead to a massive swelling of the brain.

Her condition was so serious that she could not speak at all to the police. But they seem convinced it was a burglary, since her credit card was used after the attack.

She had been working for KATV Channel 7 for quite some time. The TV station owners have now put out a reward for the person who can provide relevant information regarding Ms Pressly’s murderer.

Jennifer Hudson and her mother, Darnell Donerson

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson was totally shattered by the news of her mother and brother being shot to death. Moreover, her nephew is missing ever since the terrible happening.

On Friday, the Police attended the Chicago home of the actress’ mother, Darnell Donerson, and was confronted with a shocking discovery. Inside they found the lifeless bodies of the woman and of her son, Jason Hudson. They had been shot to death. The seven-year-old son of Jason was nowhere to be found and had been declared missing.

Lisa Kasteler, the publicist of the actress, has officially confirmed the incident, but has not given any details about where she is located.

The police representatives have declared that they suspect the young boy has been kidnapped and that they have already arrested a possible suspect. They have also given details about the crime scene; the body of the mother has been found on the ground floor and the brother’s in the bedroom.

The young actress, who is currently involved in several projects, has not given any details regarding any of them.

Facebook has become one of the world’s most wide and popular social networking site. It is highly accessed in the UK as well; it is seen as a way to keep in touch with friends and colleagues, but also one to meet new people from all over the world.

Recent events prove that, apart from the above, Facebook has also become a reason for crime; the victim is Emma Forrester, 34. She and her husband Wayne broke up a few days ago, and he moved out of the house they were living in with their two children.

After a few days, she changed her Facebook status from ‘Married’ to ‘Single’, which made the husband drive to their home in Croydon, South London, and violently murder the mother of his children.

He arrived at the house very early in the morning, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her to death while she was sleeping. He had been drinking and he had also been consuming drugs, but that was not a circumstantial evidence.

He pleaded guilty to the murder charges and the jury sentenced him to life in prison, with the possibility of getting out after a minimum of 14 years, for good behaviour.

Six years ago, in a Korean restaurant in San Antonio, Texas, a 21-year-old executioner wannabe shot three people to death, and a woman was kidnapped and sexually abused.

The victims were the manager and cooks of an Asian restaurant; after shooting them straight in the back of their heads, he abducted the manager’s wife, raped her, but kept her alive as he needed a hostage in his negotiations with the police force.He tried to escape the police cars by crashing them with one of the victims’ SUV, but was apprehended and taken into police custody in a matter of hours.

The gang member was originally from San Jose, California and he moved to San Antonio when he was 14, but could not stay away from fellow gangsters, despite his mother relentless efforts.

After six years spent in jail, the Bexar Court sentenced him to death, and was faced with the defendant’s manifestation of raging fury.

Watts is the second murderer to be executed in Texas this week, and he was killed by injection with lethal drugs. None of his relatives or friends even attended the execution, and he died thanking them for their support at 18:17 CDT.
