Meredith Kercher was a British young woman who was studying at the University of Perugia, Italy, as an exchange student.

Last November, she was found dead in her room and the examiner’s office established her death had been a murder. She had been stabbed in the neck while unwillingly engaged in sexual games. Death Penalty in Japan is Done by Hanging

Japanese courts have sent a total of 15 people to death row in what has passed of this year. It is a number which surpasses many of the ones of prior years, considering that last year only nine people were sentenced to death.
