Pit Bull Suffering of Fight Wounds

After thorough investigations, the police finally made an arrest last Friday, in Northern Jacksonville, and four people were accused of dogfighting operations have been seized.

At their residence they found an amazing 116 pit bulls and they have all been confiscated. This week the Jacksonville Animal Care and Control has euthanized 102 of the confiscated animals, which has aroused the public’s negative reaction.

The animal protection authority has justified their action by explaining that many of the dogs suffered from a contagious disease, caused by the ringworm fungus, and that the majority presented fight wounds and were extremely aggressive towards other dogs, which automatically made them a threat to society.

The 14 dogs that were left alive are puppies and their mothers, who had not been taught to fight yet, which makes them suitable for adoption.

This incident has stirred up the waters and all kind of local animal groups are now expressing their pro and cons, but most of them have now come to understand that there was no other way of treating with so many dangerous and ill animals.

That’s so horrible if dumb people would stop using them as a game they wouldn’t be scary animals. Everyone would be able to see how sweet they are. But no people wont give them a chance because of other people doing awful things. :(
