Senator Obama seems to become more and more appreciated by great names of politics. The latest to offer him his support was former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Yesterday, he told the press he will vote for Obama, because he sees him as a man of many qualities.
Also, he disagrees with John McCain’s attempts to create a bad image of Obama through all types of unfair techniques.
Colin Powell appreciates the way Obama has dealt with delicate subjects, such as the financial crisis, the Iraq war and international politics in general. At Obama’s campaign event which took place on Sunday, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Powell gave a very convincing speech about the senator’s character and attitude towards this campaign and the United States’ presidency.
Still, Powell declared he does not have anything against Senator McCain; on the contrary, he sees him as a good candidate. It is just that when it came to choosing, Senator Obama scored more points according to his standards.
McCain is also endorsed by former Secretaries of State such as Henry Kissinger, James Baker, Lawrence Eagleburger, and Alexander Haig.
