Cocaine Packs

The Colombian authorities have seized 10 tonnes of cocaine in the Caribbean city of Barranquilla. The consignment was worth about $200 million and was destined to be sent to Mexico.

The dealers wanted to send the drugs over hidden in two trucks, which were supposedly carrying a load of children modeling clay.

The owner of the load is supposedly Daniel Barrera, one of the most powerful Colombian traffickers, also known under the nickname “The Madman”.

Daniel Barrera usually lives in isolated places, in the East of Colombia, also in Venezuela; most of times he even manages to keep himself out of the reach of the police and of the US DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration).

The one in charge of the six-month operation was General Oscar Naranjo, chief of Columbia’s police force.
